Everyone’s heard of dog shows-a gathering of dog enthusiasts representing numerous breeds and disciplines. But have you heard of a cat show?
The Cat Fancier’s Association, based out of Alliance, Ohio, hosts the Cat Fancier’s Association World Championship this weekend at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The show runs Saturday 8am-5pm, and Sunday 8am-4pm. Admission is $6 (children under 12 is $3). Forty-one breeds of cats from 42 states (plus the District of Columbia) and 21 countries will partake in the show. Various speakers will discuss topics on cat ownership and care, and venders will be selling cat-related products. You may even get to see a cat on an agility course! Various rescue organizations will also be present, bringing a few kitties looking to be adopted.
