Lost a Dog?

Franklin County Dog Shelter reports over 90 dogs were found or turned in today after several days of fireworks in celebration of the Fourth of July.  Many more dogs are likely roaming after being frightened by the recent fireworks and escaping their homes or owners.

If your dog is missing, please check with the Franklin County Dog Shelter.  It is best to go and look at the dogs in the shelter to see if yours was lucky and turned up there.  They are required to keep lost dogs, especially those without current county licenses on them or those without a current microchip, only 72 hours before evaluating them for adoption.

If your dog is not at the shelter, it's recommended that you check Pet FBI and local veterinarians to alert them that your dog is missing.
