  • Michael Seimer, D.V.M.

    Michael Seimer, D.V.M.

    A 1975 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, he has practiced Suburban Animal Clinic since graduation. Dr. Seimer has served as president of the Columbus Academy of Veterinary Medicine. The Ohio Veterinary Medical Association named him "Veterinarian of the Year" in 1987 and presented Dr. Seimer with the Distinguished Service Award in 1988. In 2003, he was recognized by the Ohio Association of Veterinary Technicians for his loyalty, support and guidance to their organization.

    Dr. Seimer has served and chaired numerous local, state, and national veterinary committees. Dr. Seimer has a special interest in surgery, dentistry and senior pet care. His hobbies include golf, cooking and OSU sports. He is married with two married daughters, 2 wonderful son-in-laws, and 4 grandpuppies, and 2 granddaughters. His pet family includes a Boxer mix, Angel and Pepper, a domestic long hair cat.

  • Missy Shardy, D.V.M.

    Missy Shardy, D.V.M.

    Dr. Missy Shardy started with the Suburban Animal Clinic veterinary team in June of 2004. Dr. Shardy was born and raised in Columbus and graduated from the University of Findlay and The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in June 2004. Dr. Shardy served an internship at Suburban in April 2004.

    Dr. Shardy's veterinary interests are in dentistry and surgery. Her pet family includes 2 dogs, 1 cat and a rabbit. She is married and she and her husband Jerry have a son named Paul, born October 22, 2006, a daughter named Macy, born October 6, 2008 and a daughter Josie, born June 15, 2011. In her spare time, she enjoys running around keeping up with the kids and sporting events.

  • Dr. Beth T. Stafford, D.V.M.

    Dr. Beth T. Stafford, D.V.M.

    Dr. Beth Stafford joined Suburban Animal Clinic in June of 2009. She grew up in Upper Arlington and attended DePauw University where she pursued a degree in English Literature. She graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She has practiced at small animal hospitals in Stow, Ohio and most recently in Westerville.
    Dr. Stafford has a strong background and interest in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Soft Tissue surgery. She enjoys outdoor activities, reading and writing. Her pet family includes twin boy cats, Maverick and Goose.

    Dr. Stafford and her husband Matt  had their first child in July, 2009. They were blessed with a little girl named Ella.

  • Deanna Herfel, R.V.T.

    Deanna Herfel, R.V.T.

    Deanna started with Suburban Animal Clinic in August of 1999.  She has a B.S. in Natural Resources from The Ohio State University.  Also, she is a graduate of the Veterinary Technician program at Columbus State Community College.  Deanna did her internship with Suburban.  Her pet family includes one mutt dog and 1 cat.  She has a husband of many moons, a daughter in college, Emily, and an adventurous son, Nicholas at St. Charles. 

    Her goals for her job are to come to work everyday with the attitude that when she's there the patients get the best care possible  Every day's a new day with something new to learn. Drawing blood is one of her favorite procedures to do along with putting in catheters.  She thinks working at Suburban is the best of the best where new ideas are welcome and the equipment and procedures are state of the art. 

    Suburban allows her to be herself and trusts her with responsibilities to help the practice. In her free time, she enjoys activities with her children and husband.

  • Anne Pelleriti, R.V.T.

    Anne Pelleriti, R.V.T.

    Anne started working at Suburban Animal Clinic in March of 1995.  She is a graduate of the Columbus State Community College Veterinary Technician program.  Anne is an accomplished artist and has had one of her paintings of a red tail hawk used on the cover of The Journal of Veterinary Medicine.  A print of it is displayed in our clinic.

    She also enjoys doing pet portraits in color pencil. She has a very patient husband and her pet family includes 2 lovable Great Danes named Fiona and Stella. Also included is her husbands cat named "Kat". To her, the best thing about her job is helping people and pets. Her goal at Suburban is to educate clients about what is best for their pets, treating the patients and clients with kindness and understanding. Anne is also our only tech certified to perform canine massage therapy.

    In January 2011, Anne published a book called "Life with Lilly". The book is a tribute to her deceased deaf Great Dane, "Lilly".

  • Dawn Archey, R.V.T.

    Dawn Archey, R.V.T.

    Dawn started at Suburban Animal Clinic in March 2007. She received a B.S. in Agriculture from The Ohio State University in March 2004. At Columbus State Community College she received her degree as a veterinary technician in March 2007. Her pet family includes 2 cats, Reina & Lily and 2 guinea pigs. Dawn has experience caring for pocket pets, including rabbits & ferrets. Goals for her job at Suburban include: doing the best job she can to care for pets and educate clients on pet health care and staying up-to-date with advances in veterinary medicine so she can pass the information along to clients and their pets.

    Suburban is enjoyable to Dawn because all the staff is there for the pets and clients and there are always opportunities to learn new information that will benefit pets and their families. Hobbies that Dawn enjoys are spending time with her critters, friends, family, cross-stitching, leisure walks in the woods, wildlife photography, scrapping and reading.

    Krista Dudgeon, R.V.T.

    Krista started working at Suburban Animal Clinic in July 2001. She is a graduate of the Columbus State Community College Veterinary Technician program. She is married and has a daughter named "Allison: and a son named "Joey". Her pet family includes 2 horses, 3 dogs, 5 cats, miniature donkey, a rabbit,  and fish. The best thing about Suburban for her is the great medicine the Suburban team provides. Her goal is to help clients understand patient issues, educate them, improve healthcare, strive for healthier families and pets, and learn more about disease to improve pet health.

    Krista enjoys most the teamwork, clientele, patients and medicine that Suburban provides.

  • Joan Phillips, R.V.T.

    Joan Phillips, R.V.T.

    Joan started working at Suburban Animal Clinic in August of 1971. She likes everything about her job; she would have to since she's been at Suburban longer than Dr. Seimer. Her primary duties are ordering and inventory. Joan enjoys all kinds of needlework, some of which is displayed at Suburban. She does an excellent job creating the bulletin boards, displays in our retail area, and decorating for holidays. She has had two Springer spaniels in the past and hopes to get another but right now just has a purebred husband. She has two grown daughters and two wonderful grandchildren.

    Her goal at Suburban is to always be of service to our clients and patients in any way she can. She enjoys the camaraderie of the clients and staff.
  • Sherry Seimer, R.V.T.

    Sherry Seimer, R.V.T.

    Sherry started working at Suburban Animal Clinic in May 1990. Her degree is from Columbus State Community College as a medical laboratory technician and she is also a R.V.T. She retired from teaching microbiology and hematology labs in the veterinary technician program at Columbus State in 2009. As you may have noticed, she has the same last name as Dr. Seimer and that would be because she is his wife. They have two grown married daughters, 4 grandpuppies, and 2 granddaughters. They enjoy being with their family and golfing together.

    Sherry loves working with the great dedicated staff and getting to know the clients. She is proud of the outstanding care and compassion along with the most updated medicine that is provided at Suburban. Her primary responsibility is doing the Clinic bookkeeping and running errands.

    Jill Smiley, R.V.T.

    Jill started working at Suburban in March of 2006 after she graduated from Columbus State Community College. Jill loves working with the staff and clients of Suburban.

    She has a son, Treyton, and 3 dogs and 3 cats. She enjoys volunteering at Treyton's school and extra curricular activities. Goals for her are keeping pets healthy and informing clients of the latest technology available.  She is especially interested in animal behavior.

    Jenny Moore, R.V.T.

    Suburban Animal Clinic welcomed Veterinary Technician, Jenny Moore in the spring of 2010. She did an internship with us and has been with us ever since. She graduated from the Columbus State Community College Vet Tech program in March with honors. She also has a marketing degree from the Fisher College of Business at OSU. The Dayton native has a Corgi named Betty, a Great Dane mix named Gordon and two cats, Elton and Luda.

    She loves cooking, traveling and recently married Erik Smith on July 23, 2011. Jenny says she is excited to work with clients, pets and staff at Suburban. She is shown here with her two cats, Luda and Elton.

    Marie Jarden, R.V.T.

    Marie began working at Suburban Animal Clinic in March 2011. Marie  graduated from the University of Toledo in chemical engineering in 2004 and received her RVT from Columbus State in 2009. She is currently enrolled at The Ohio State University  to become a veterinarian. Working with animals and talking to the owners attracted her to this field. She has 3 cats, Hendrix, Bake and Cool Whip. Her parents live in Indianapolis and she has a sister living in New Hampshire.

    Goals for her career are to become an awesome veterinarian that helps patients live happy healthy lives or the best life they can. As for the clients she sees, she wants to make sure they have great service and enjoy their visits.

    Marie likes Suburban because the whole staff is very nice and fun and really care about patient health.

    Dawna Shroads, R.V.T.

    Dawna started with Suburban March 2011. Dawna graduated from Cuyahoga Community College in 2003 as a Veterinary Technician. Her husband, two daughters and extensive pet family live in Westerville. She has had 8 years of experience at other veterinary hospitals before coming to Suburban.

    Dawna is eager to provide her skills in dentistry and client education to you and your pets. Hobbies include playing the flute for the Westerville Concert Band, photograph and video editing and coaching little league.

    Susan James

    Susan started working at Suburban Animal Clinic in September of 1996. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. in education and a minor in psychology. She is married and has a daughter Katie. Susan loves the clients, the patients, and her co-workers. She loves the fact that when she gets up in the a.m. that she looks forward to coming to work (except for the waking up part). Her pet family includes 1 dog and 4 cats.

    Susan enjoys walking and biking outdoors.  Susan’s goals are for clients to feel as though when they walk through our doors, they are walking into a good friend’s home. She wants them to feel comfortable, welcomed, cared for and respected.

    Laura Hendricks

    Laura started at Suburban Animal Clinic in August 2007. She is a student at Columbus State Community College. Her human family includes a younger sister, her parents, and son Grayden. Laura's pet family includes a dog (Tucker) and a cat named "Charlie". Her photo includes her dog Levi (passed). Helping animals feel better and stay healthy is the best part about her job.

    Goals include helping clients understand their pet's medical needs and ways to help them live a long healthy life. The best part about working at Suburban is enjoying the staff she works with and the wonderful clients.
